BOTTOM HEAT

Misting may sometimes lower the temperature of the rooting medium below the surface level for propagation, especially when cuttings are made in winter.

Under such circumstances, application of warmth to the base of the cuttings will promote root development quickly and adequately in some species which are otherwise difficult to root. It can be done by means of soil warming cables. They can be laid suitably below 5cm of the rooting medium in the propagation bench. Thermostats are used to control and maintain the temperature automatically.

Biswal, (Ph.D. Research Scholar; website designer & content editor of agriculture2u.com (blog &YouTube), I got interested to create such an amazing platform, where I can share my knowledge to a greater range of audience and also get enriched with new ideas and knowledge. I feel privileged to be in contact with you all. I would like to thank you all for your valuable support and encouragement through viewing my articles. I will always try my best to provide the quality and latest information on this website. Thank you….
